OOC: How's post-Sphere life treating you?

EDENSPHERE HI HI!!!

Come tell me how your characters' post-Edensphere lives are going. Are they blissful? In the midst of a war? Something in-between? I WANNA KNOW.

Bridge and Sky came back to their home world from Edensphere to find that a few months had passed. The others, strangely, were quick to believe their story, which puzzled them- until they found out that Jack (Ghost) and Syd (Pinky) had also disappeared for a bit and shown up telling the same story about being born from a cocoon with no memories. So the others had to admit that it wasn't as far-fetched as they may have first through.

Now much more mature and a stronger leader due to his time in the Sphere, Sky took the helm of B-Squad and served as a capable Red Ranger. He impressed everyone with how much he had grown as a person and fighter, even moreso than he had before he was abducted to Edensphere. In his free time- with Kat, Boom and Bridge's assistance- he began using S.P.D.'s technology to find a wormhole back to the Fishbowl so he could find his friends- and, more importantly, find Inara. For that was the one part of their story that the others, save for Bridge, had trouble believing- that uptight, by-the-book, stiff grouchy Sky had managed to fall in love and date someone for that long.

Eventually, they discovered a basement room at the Delta Base that had an elevator which definitely wasn't there before. Of course, it was their ticket back to Edensphere. It took quite a long time, but they eventually found their way to the Firefly universe- or at least a version of it where his Inara was- and they had a happy reunion.

Bridge, meanwhile, was more subdued, quiet and thoughtful when he came back from Edensphere. He went back to his role at Sky's second-in-command, finding that he was more content to just settle back into being that, because he never felt 100% comfortable being a leader. Sky was more of the type to make the hard decisions, and Bridge needed some time to get back into proper fighting form, seeing as how he'd pretty much ceased Ranger training and exercising upon his taking over the Scavengers.

He also became quite adept at Zord maintenance and building and maintaining systems with recycled and spare parts, impressing Kat and Boom. He and R.I.C. (Logan), who remained his glitchy, lovable self, were also now completely inseparable, and R.I.C. began to take an even more active role in combat than just "change into Canine Cannon".

When Sky and Inara reunited, the old jealousy began to flare up, but he finally quashed it for good and began dating Boom. Really.

Simon came back to his world to find that he'd only been gone for 15 minutes- hardly enough time to explain away the changes he had gone through, both physically and mentally. Luckily, the crew just didn't ask- save for Inara, who also remembered their time in Edensphere. Simon eventually got all of the others to call his sister Qi instead of River, because he had come to think of her as that, as much as she herself had.

His 2+ years in Edensphere made him much more appreciative of everything he had- especially Kaylee. He became an immensely devoted and affectionate boyfriend, treating her like a queen and making a considerable effort to watch his words while still courting her in his own proper way. Kaylee was surprised by the sudden change, but he certainly didn't mind. Having exposed the Alliance's secret and presented pretty irrefutable evidence, the gang was more or less left to their own devices and suddenly always had enough work. They never became rich by any means, but they got by a lot better than they used to.

He and Qi frequently go back to Edensphere and visit Castle and Genius/Topher in New York.

Janine/Above... has not actually changed for the better. In canon she makes the decision to stop running and face commitments, becoming human again and, eventually, a happier and more stable person.

...the Edensphere version really hasn't. She believes she literally cannot go back, that she's one of the people who died in their home realities, and is a little afraid even to search out a version where she didn't.

And just as she doesn't want to face that tie, she doesn't really want to make any others. She traveled with the Fourth Doctor for a while, but worldhopped back to Edenshub at some point because fleeing through corridors when you're the size and general shape of a giraffe is problematic and she'd just very nearly been shot.

Since then it's been wandering, getting stared at pretty much everywhere and sometimes having to worldhop instantly, but never staying long. There's a world where psychic entertainment is big that she returns to often, and she's a celebrity there, showered with gifts up to and including her own little helper robot, Deputy.

Which she kind of needs, since with time actually passing now she's been... growing. She may actually be a Hatzegopteryx, a third again the size she was in ES.

Worldhopping, she helps when she can, is not unkind or all that unfriendly, and likes to be amused and aloof.
